A Taste Of Anderson 2014



A Taste of Anderson 2014 presented by the UNM Anderson School of Management will feature more of Albuquerque’s top restaurants than ever before!  Top chefs from twenty-four of the city’s premier restaurants will offer exquisite tastes at the annual creative culinary event to benefit the students and programs of the Johnson Marketing Center at UNM Anderson.

On Tuesday, September 9 at Hotel Albuquerque the chefs will present an incredible display of their finest dishes, dessert creations and libations while supporting marketing students and scholarships at UNM Anderson. 


Anderson #4 In Nation For Hispanic Students



Hispanic Business Magazine ranked the UNM Anderson School of Management as the fourth best postgraduate business school in the nation for Hispanic students in 2014. 

The #4 ranking marks the fifth year in a row that the Anderson School has received a top ten ranking from the magazine.

Alumni Tailgate And Barbecue


Anderson School of Management's Alumni Association will be hosting a Tailgate and Barbecue on Friday, September 26th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Anderson Alumni Tent located on the northwest corner of University Stadium in the Stadium West parking lot.

Tickets cost $15.00 and include food, refreshments, and admission to the game. Parking is not included and cost varies by lot. Please heed posted signs.

UNM Anderson Offers New Master's Degree

Beginning in January the Anderson School of Management will offer a Master of Science in Information Systems and Assurance (MS-ISA), a new degree program for students with computer-related undergraduate degrees from management, computer science, and engineering.

Anderson Welcomes Tammy Cline

The Anderson School of Management is pleased to welcome Tammy Cline in the role of Operations Manager.

Tammy comes to Anderson from the College of Education, where she held the same position.

Tammy will be coordinating the  multifaceted operational infrastructure of the school, including administration of policies and procedures, financial and operational analyses, and procedural auditing.

Florencio Olguin Named Student Success Specialist

Florencio Olguin, Senior Academic Advisor, steps into a new role with the Anderson School of Management Advisement team as a Student Success Specialist!  Florencio is an integral member of the advisement team at Anderson, and shares his commitment for student success, elevating practices in the advisement office. 

Florencio brings expertise from several key positions at UNM.  He has been nominated to receive the best new advisor award in 2014, and will only continue high standards for quality service in this new role.

Public Speaking Assistance

This semester, Sarah Minnich will continue Anderson School of Management’s Public Speaking Coach duties.

Sarah is a student at UNM, pursuing a Masters degree in Interpersonal Communication. Sarah works as both a TA in the department of Communication and Journalism, and as a SAG-AFTRA actress in pursuit of a screen-acting career.

Throughout the coming semester, Sarah will provide Public Speaking support to ASM students or groups of students.

Foundation Board Convenes

Department of Organizational Studies Chair Dr.  Jacqueline Hood outlines Anderson's strengths
 to Anderson Foundation board members.

The Anderson School of Management Foundation Board welcomed its newest members at its first board meeting at the Albuquerque Country Club on Wednesday, August 20.

New members listened to presentations by faculty and administration, including Interim Dean Craig White, Assistant Dean Rob Delcampo, and Professor Manuel Montoya, and met with current board members to support and foster ideas and practices that will result in Anderson's continuing excellence and productivity.

Anderson Welcomes International Students


On Thursday, August 21, Anderson Advisement held an inaugural bagel breakfast at the Jackson Student Center to welcome its newest international students. Students had the opportunity to meet Advisement staff, faculty members, and each other, compare experiences, and learn key information about navigating pathways in the Anderson School of Management.

Seminar: Protecting The Elderly From Fraud

The Small Business Development Center at Mesalands Community College in Tucumcari presents a seminar featuring Professor Rich Brody, who will be speaking on the topic of  'Protecting the Elderly from Fraud.'

Dr. Brody is a Regent of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Douglas Minge Brown Professor of Accounting, and a Daniels Fund Business Ethics Fellow.
