Dr. Kassicieh received his B.S. and M.B.A. from the University of New Mexico, and his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. He joined the faculty of UNM Anderson in 1981. He holds the rank of Distinguished Professor, is the Endowed Chair in Economic Development, and is a past holder of professorships including the Regents’ Professorship, the Albert Franklin Black Professorship in Entrepreneurship, and the ASM Foundation Professorship. He also oversees the annual Technology Business Plan Competition and Entrepreneurial Challenge.
