Anderson Presents New Entrepreneurship Program
Many people dream of one day opening their own business. We have searched the web, and these are the 3 best reasons many entrepreneurs have chosen to start their own businesses:
1. Be your own boss: As an entrepreneur, you are your own boss - this means you can make your own hours, set the organizational culture, and choose your own team members.
2. Make money: While not every entrepreneur will become Bill Gates, Business Insider reports that it is easier to become rich as an entrepreneur than by working up the corporate chain.
3. Pursue your passion: As an employee in a large business, you are subject to the business's values, but as an entrepreneur, your values are the business's.
To many, the potential obstacles to owning a business may seem greater than the rewards. And it's true that many entrepreneurs don't possess all of the skills they need to successfully run a business, but with networking and education you can find the partners and learn the skills you need.
UNM Anderson's NEW Entrepreneurship Program is designed to deliver foundational skills in finance, marketing, and employee relations that will help you succeed in today's marketplace.
Entrepreneurship will be held Tuesdays, Sept. 9 - Oct. 28, 2014. Classes run from 6:00 - 9:00 PM.
