Join us as Anderson School of Management's Dr. Jacqueline Hood discusses workplace bullying. Workplace bullying is defined as repeated, malicious, and health-endangering mistreatment of an employee by one or more other employees. Workplace bullying has been associated with negative outcomes for the individual being bullied and for the organization in which such actions take place. This talk will discuss the nature, frequency, and costs of workplace bullying in the context of an organization’s culture, ethical culture, and organizational moral development. Ways that organizations can and should deal with this increasingly common behavior will be proposed.
The event takes place on Monday, November 14, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in GSM Room 302 and is sponsored by UNM’s Student Center for the Public Trust.
