The UNM College of Fine Arts – Arts Management Program and the Anderson School of Management will host a presentation by jeweler and philanthropist Katherine Jetter on Tuesday, April 22 at 5:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts, Room 1019.
Jetter earned a Bachelor of Psychology degree from University College London, and followed that with an analyst position at JP Morgan, London, in Private Banking. She attended the globally renowned Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and became certified as a graduate gemologist and jewelry designer, going on to work with various international, high-end designer jewelers including De Beers.
In 2008 Jetter founded her own proprietary jewelry line and company, Katherine Jetter Ltd. Her collection was immediately picked up by Saks and Neiman Marcus after winning the 2009 Best New Designer Award by the prestigious Couture Jewelry Show panel.
Jetter's collections are featured in numerous retailers worldwide from Moscow to China, including a selection of Neiman Marcus stores and jewelers across the United States.
