Anderson Receives $50,000 From Moss Adams

Moss Adams LLP has pledged to donate $50,000 over the next five years to the UNM Anderson School of Management to support the growth of the Moss Adams Professorship and general operations of Anderson’s Accounting Department. The donation combines the financial support of UNM alumni at Moss Adams with a matching gift from the Moss Adams Foundation.

“This financial commitment will help ensure future students a quality educational experience, providing them a strong foundation as they embark on their accounting careers,” said Dr. Craig White, Chair of the Accounting Department. “Moss Adams is a leader in providing career opportunities to Anderson School graduates and students. The Albuquerque office currently employs more than 40 alumni, and in 2014 it will add four interns and an additional five permanent staff who will start after graduation in May.”

Doug Brown, Dean of the Anderson School, says the fact that these funds are coming from Anderson alums speaks to the quality of the accounting program. “Of course, the financial commitment is most welcome, but of equal importance to us is the success of Anderson School graduates at a firm as well-regarded as Moss Adams and their willingness to give back to the program.”

Moss Adams is a major provider of audit and consulting services from offices located in New Mexico and throughout the western United States. Moss Adams is one of the 15 largest public accounting firms in the United States, with more than 2,000 employees, 260 partners, and revenues exceeding $400 million.
