Anderson Team Wins BSG Global Competition

An Anderson team from David Cavazos’ MGMT 498 class consisting of Paige Thompson, Jennifer Sanchez, Michaela Bezdikova, and Cara Ovis recently won the Business Strategy Game global competition. The team beat undergraduate and graduate teams from schools such as The University of Miami, Colorado State, Villanova, and Indiana University.

The Business Strategy Game is a dynamic and complex simulation that puts student strategic management skills to the test. Students must apply financial analysis, accounting, marketing, human resource concepts and planning in a highly uncertain competitive environment.  In order to qualify for the global competition, teams must win their class competition.

“Paige, Jennifer, Michaela and Cara’s effort was outstanding. It is tough enough to win the class tournament – wining the global tournament is a true challenge and a testament to the teamwork, planning, and analytic skills of this group of students," said Professor Cavazos.

Congratulations to all!
