Congratulations to Anderson Professor Nick Flor, who is a co-Principal Investigator on the grant "SNM: Scalable Surface Corrugation of Silicon Surfaces for Enhanced Light Trapping in Solar Cells" recently awarded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to the University of New Mexico (Sang E. Han, Nick Flor, Peter Schunk, Steven Brueck). The estimated award total is one million dollars.
The project combines fundamental research on creating efficient, lightweight solar photovoltaics, with interactive immersive visualizations that raise social awareness about alternative energy.
The abstract of the grant can be found HERE, and the complete UNM article can be read HERE. Congratulations to Dr. Flor and all the award winners!
