Dr. Craig White will be the Interim Dean of the UNM Anderson School of Management effective July 1, 2014. Provost Chaouki Abdallah made the announcement saying the primary focus will be preparing the school for a successful accreditation visit and permanent dean search in the upcoming year.
Dr. White will lead UNM Anderson following the retirement of Dean Douglas Brown on June 30, 2014. Dean Brown is winding up his five-year commitment to the Anderson School. Under his leadership UNM Anderson was fully re-accredited, achieved record fundraising efforts, and secured a commitment for a new building for the school. Dr. White looks forward to continuing the momentum.
“Dean Brown leaves the Anderson School in a strong position with a number of exciting initiatives in place,” said Interim Dean Craig White. “I am looking forward to working with Provost Abdallah and my colleagues at the Anderson School to build on these opportunities and prepare for AACSB accreditation process.”
Dean Brown says Anderson is in good hands. "Anderson is indeed fortunate that such a dedicated and effective leader as Craig White is willing to serve. I am confident that the school will reach new heights under his direction."
