University of New Mexico student Ryan Berryman has been appointed by Gov. Susana Martinez to replace Student Regent Heidi Overton, whose term expired.
“My passion for this university was a lifetime in the making," Berryman said. "I am the first person in my immediate family to graduate from college.”
Berryman, a native of Sandia Park, N.M., graduated this past May with Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Operations Management. He completed his undergraduate studies with a 3.96 cumulative GPA with a summa cum laude designation from the UNM Honors College.
Additionally, Berryman was a research and creative member on an Anderson School of Management marketing team that competed and took top honors in the Credit Karma Campus Challenge sponsored by Edventure Partners and Credit Karma.
He begins his studies toward a Master of Business Administration this fall.
